On October 12, 2016, China Quantum Information Technology Industry Development Summit organized by the Major Science and Technology Task Bureau of Chinese Academy of Sciences and China Information Association was held in Beijing. At the meeting, the China Information Association Quantum Information Branch was formally established. This means that China has a "national team" concentrated on the industrialization of quantum technology and scientific achievements, while the newly established Quantum Information Branch will strive to play a platform effect, integrate development resources, optimize the development environment, maintain and expand our international influence in the field of quantum information technology. As one of the six sponsors of quantum information branch, CEICLOUD Data Storage Technology (Beijing) Co., Ltd. was elected as vice president unit of Quantum Information Association.

After 20 years of development, China's quantum communication technology has the foundation stepping from the theory to practice. At the meeting, the China Information Association Quantum Information Branch held a grand opening ceremony. China Information Association is the level 1 national community administrated by National Development and Reform Commission, focusing on promoting the development and utilization of information resources and information services industry and dedicating to build the bridge between government and enterprises, government and the public.The newly established China Information Association Quantum Information Branch will strive to play a platform effect, maintain and expand our international influence in the field of quantum information technology.

As a infrastructure provider for a new generation of Internet big data, and CEICloud actively participated in the application and extension of national quantum information industry. Since 2015, CEICloud began to build CEICloud Beijing Quantum Metropolitan Area Network which would provide customers of CEICloud data center with quantum secure communication services, and would serve as a trial network of quantum communication developing in the field of data center to provide appropriate test environment for the quantum communication related products and technical solutions.
