October 12 afternoon, 2016 China Quantum Information Technology Industry Development Forum was also held in Beijing. Guided by the Chinese Academy of Sciences, the forum was organized by the major scientific and technological mission bureau of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and the China Information Association.

The leaders of Electronic Information Division of National Ministry of Industry and Information, and National Commercial Secret Department and other ministries attended the meeting and delivered speech, as well as relevant leaders of Major Science and Technology Task Bureau of Chinese Academy of Sciences and China Information Association.The forum is presided over by Mr. Wu Lebin, chairman of Chinese Academy of Sciences State-owned Assets Management Co., Ltd. (CAS Holdings), with participating units including the High Technology Division of National Development and Reform Commission and Information Development Bureau of Central Net Message Department.

At the first stage of the forum, Yin Hao, Du Jiangfeng and Fang Jiancheng respectively shared quantum communication, quantum computation and precision measurement, as well as the frontier development and application progress of quantum sensing and other quantum communication technologies.Then, Wang Jiye, director of the Ministry of Information Industry of the State Grid, and Shan Jijin, deputy director of the Information Technology Supervision Department of the China Banking Regulatory Commission, respectively made a thematic report on the innovative application of quantum information technology in the power industry and the banking industry.

In the peak dialogue session, academician Pan Jianwei , discussed the development path from the "science" to "application" to "industry" with entrepreneurs of CAS Holdings, DCITS and Alibaba and proposed the point on opportunities and challenges of quantum information industry development and how to build a healthy industry ecology.

Subsequently, on behalf of China Quantum Communication Industry Alliance, Qi Wei, general manager of Guoke Quantum Communication Network Co., Ltd. reported the relevant work.China Information Association Quantum Information Branch held the inaugural ceremony, with Zhao Yong, the president of Quantum CTek Co., Ltd. as the first chairman, and Fu Boyan, the deputy secretary-general of China Information Association as executive vice chairman.China Information Association is the level 1 national community administrated by National Development and Reform Commission, focusing on promoting the development and utilization of information resources and information services industry and dedicating to building the bridge between government and enterprises, government and the public.The newly established China Information Association Quantum Information Branch will strive to play a platform effect, integrate development resources, optimize the development environment, maintain and expand our international influence in the field of quantum information technology.
